Cervical spondylosis or cervical osteoarthritis or neck arthritis is an age-related disorder which affects joints and discs in the neck. It develops from tear and wear of the bone and cartilage of the cervical spine. It brings severe pain and stiffness and disrupts the person from daily activities.

Home remedies for Cervical spondylosis
1.Compress
Cold and hot compress relaxes the muscles and increases blood circulation. Cold compress decreases inflammation and swelling.
Place the hot compress on the affected area for two or three minutes.
Later cold compress the area for one minute.
Repeat this procedure for few minutes and it will provide greater relief.
2.Epsom salt bath
Regular Epsom salt bath eases from the symptoms of cervical spondylosis. It contains magnesium which regulates the pH levels. Thereupon, it reduces stiffness, pain, and inflammation in the regions of shoulder and neck.
Take one to two tablespoons of Epsom salt and mix the little water and make it into a thick paste. Apply it on the affected region for 15 to 20 minutes.
Epsom salt bath for two to three times a week is also effective.
3. Sesame seeds
Sesame seeds are rich in calcium, copper, magnesium, manganese, phosphorous, zinc, and vitamins D and K. These are very good for bones and maintaining overall health. It also reduces the pain in the neck.
Do massage for 10 minutes with sesame oil on the affected area. Later on, apply a hot compress.
Chewing a tablespoon of roasted white sesame seeds every day in the morning for once is also effective.
4. Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar contains alkalizing and anti-inflammatoryproperties. It soothes the pain and inflammation in the neck region. Thus, it acts as a good home remedy for cervical spondylosis.
Take a paper towel and soak it in apple cider vinegar. Apply it on the affected area and leave it for few hours. Practice this two times in a day.
Take lukewarm bath water and add two cups of apple cider vinegar. Soak in it for 10 to 15 minutes.
5. Ginger
Ginger is one of the best herbs to improve the blood circulation. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties. Thereupon, it plays a major role in treating cervical spondylosis.
Drink ginger tea three times in a day.
Massaging with ginger oil also gives effective results.
6. Garlic
Garlic also contains anti-inflammatory properties. Also, it contains analgesic properties. These both play a major role in treating swelling, pain and inflammation.
Eat raw garlic buds on empty stomach with water.
Take two to three crushed garlic cloves. Put them in a pan with vegetable oil and heat it. Cool, the oil and massage it on the painful area for 5 – 10 minutes. Take a warm bath after this.
7. Cayenne pepper
Cayenne pepper is also the very effective herb in treating cervical spondylosis. It contains capsaicin, a rich component. It also containsanti-inflammatory properties which reduce both inflammation and pain in the region of the neck.
Drink a glass of warm water by adding a teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder. Drink it 2 -2 times in a day.
Take a teaspoon of cayenne pepper powder and two tablespoons of lukewarm water. Mix them and apply it to the
affected region. Cover that with a bandage and leave it for few hours overnight.
8. Indian Lilac
Indian or neem contains anti-inflammatory properties. These suppress the pain, inflammation, and swelling which result from cervical spondylosis.
Take a tablespoon of neem powder and make it a paste by adding the little water. Heat the paste in double boiler and apply it on affected area. Leave it for 30 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Practice this for few days.
9. Posture
Posture plays a major role in treating spondylitis. It can both worse and heal spondylitis. Avoid immobility for the longer time and sleep in proper positions. Do not stress or strain the spine either during sleep or working.
10. Warm water
Warm water is one of the best natural ways of relieving pain, stiffness, and inflammations. Cold water stiffens the muscles, wherein warm water helps in easy stretching of the muscles and joints.
Besides, taking few healthy lifestyle habits also help in treating spondylitis.
Avoid physical exertion. Do not worsen or strain the physical aspects.
Have a good sleep and rest. Balance healthy posture. Eat organic and fresh salads.
